SYSTEMATIC CHANGE A PARCEL AT A TIME.

Civic design is limited in its ability to account for the uneven energy distribution among individuals and communities in the design process. The murky role of the city adds to the mental, emotional, and physical drain, particularly for communities of color who have reason to be suspicious of the civic systems in the U. S. Is the city its own stakeholder, an aligned partner, and/or a barrier to be overcome? We continue to search for ways to lessen the knowledge and trust gaps that overburden historically underrepresented groups in Boston, WANA is a partner and a teacher in this ongoing stops and starts of community design.
